Updated Tariff Information and Expected Price Impacts on imported products

We have been monitoring the US Trade Policy and events that are affecting us all and wanted to provide you with an update on upcoming changes and how they will impact our imported product lines. Catania Medallic Specialty has been absorbing the entirety of the tariffs for the past several months. Due to the recent tariff increase which will take effect on April 9, 2025 we will not be able to be able to absorb all the new increased costs.
We will implement a tariff surcharge that will be ½ of the tariff rate on all products imported from China due to the new tariffs. This cost will be reflective on your invoice as a line item at time of billing. Should this percentage increase or decrease, those adjustments will be made at that time. Our standard pricing on all products will stay the same, the surcharge is due to the tariffs. We will be passing on ½ of the tariff rate and absorbing the other half.
We are closely monitoring the situation and remain hopeful that there will be agreements to reduce these tariffs. However, if these tariffs remain in place, we anticipate needing to adjust the tariff surcharge pricing accordingly.
